    A 42-year-old man has been the victim of a "terrifying attack" on a footpath near to Elvaston Castle.

    The man has reported being approached by two men who beat him up and slashed his face with a silver blade. A gold chain, a watch and cash were stolen.

    It happened on Monday 28 May on the footpath across the river near the B5010.

    The owner of Derby's main shopping centre says it won't comment on speculation that it's up for sale.

    However, Intu says it is looking at a number of options to fund future development.

    Commercial property website Estate Gazette says the firm has appointed an adviser, external to help it sell all or some of its Derby site, which is valued at almost £500m.

    Firefighters worked through the night to bring a large moorland fire near Buxton under control.

    The blaze, close to Goytslough Quarry, saw four crews from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service joined by two crews from Cheshire.

    It broke out at about 19:00 but was brought under control using hose reel jets and beaters.

    A woman suffered bruising to her arm after she was attacked by a dog at Darley Park in Derby, police said.

    The woman said she had been walking near to the entrance on West Bank Avenue when she was pulled to the ground by a German Shepherd that was off its lead at about 13:00 on Monday 28 May.

    Police investigating the attack have released this image of a group of people they would like to speak with.

    They want anyone who recognises them to get in touch.

    A Derbyshire NHS trust has been told to make big improvements in the way it handles complaints from staff.

    One whistleblower at the Derbyshire Community Health Services Trust said they were suspended and had to wait 16 months before their concerns were investigated.

    The National Guardian for the NHS has made 14 recommendations after looking into the trust. It said it had too many barriers preventing staff from speaking up, which placed "unacceptable" levels of stress on staff.

    The trust has said it's committed to a culture where people feel supported to raise concerns and that it's already implementing the recommendations in the report.

    Derbyshire County Council is adding 10p to the price of all nursery and primary school meals from September. The cost of dinners at secondary schools will go up by 5p.

    The rise in price wont affect pupils qualifying for free school dinners.

    Not everyone got to watch the match last night.

    Instead firefighters from Market Bosworth were dealing with this fire involving 200 sq m of heathland, off Abbey Road Whitwick.

    Leicestershire Fire and Rescue said it's been burning since Monday evening.

    Crews from Loughborough and Shepshed are still on the scene damping down in case the grass reignites.

    The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
