A youth worker who knew a teenage boy stabbed to death in London has said he is "shocked" by what has happened.
Jayden Moodie, 14, was found wounded in Bickley Road, Waltham Forest, at 18:30 yesterday.
It is understood that Jayden had recently moved to the capital from Nottingham.
Marcellus Baz, from Nottingham charity Switch Up, met Jayden in Basford while encouraging young people to get involved in positive activities and educating them about knife crime.
Mr Baz, who won the 2016 BBC Sports Unsung Hero Award, said: "You look at a kid and think ’he’s got his life sorted, here’s one that’s going to be all right,' and then that happens.
"It’s absolutely shocking and my heart goes out to his family, to his friends and to people who knew him."
A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a gun was fired in a Derbyshire village.
Dianvelli Williams, of Leeds, has also been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and ammunition in connection with the "firearms discharge" in Bassett Hill, Upper Langwith, on 2 October.
He is due before Chesterfield Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
Jordan Murray, 25, of Bestwood Park, has previously been charged with attempted murder in connection with the same incident as well as a shooting outside a Nottingham bar.
Tarquin James, 28, of Woodthorpe and Nathaniel Skerritt, 31, of Sherwood are both accused of attempted murder, and possession of a prohibited weapon and ammunition in connection with the Fletcher Gate incident in November.
Mr Skerritt is also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and ammunition in connection with a warrant at a property in Sherwood on 8 November.

A couple running a kitchen and bathroom store pocketed more than £43,000 in unpaid VAT, tax inspectors said.
Russell and Marie Hill, 43 and 41 of Countesthorpe in Leicestershire, charged their customers at C & R Kitchen and Bathrooms Ltd VAT over four years but gave false information to HMRC.
Instead they used the money to pay off their debts and buy a second property.
They admitted fraud at Leicester Crown Court yesterday and were both sentenced to eight months in prison suspended for two years and ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid work.

A leading architect says the 1960s curves on a former Debenhams store in Derby should save it from demolition.
The empty site could be knocked down as part of a regeneration plan, that's already cost £8m.
Architect Derek Latham believes that an extra storey could be added to the building and that refurbishing would be a better option than demolition.
He added: “Re-envisioning this as part of a new development is likely to bring a much better quality of design than simply taking it down and starting again.”

A new prison in Leicestershire will be among the first in the country to get rid of bars on cell windows.
Ministers said the windows would be hard to break and better for stopping prisoners "accessing contraband".
The prison - going up on the site of the former jail at Glen Parva - is expected to open in 2022.
The cell windows will be fitted with toughened glass and air vents, under Ministry of Justice plans.
