    Police would like to speak to this man caught on CCTV after the theft of a van

    The Ford Transit was taken between 7 and 8 November in Cotmanhay Road, Ilkeston.

    It was later found abandoned in Burke Drive, Somercotes. A large number of tools stolen were stolen from the van.

    A teenager stabbed to death in London on Tuesday is thought to have recently moved to the capital from Nottingham.

    The 14-year-old, who has been named locally as Jayden Moody, is believed to have been knocked off his moped by a car in East London before being stabbed by three men, in what police called a "targeted attack".

    MP for Leicester West, Liz Kendall, has repeated calls for the Brexit debate to be conducted with decency and integrity.

    She says she's noticed tighter security today around Westminster is keeping abusive protesters away, following a number of verbal attacks on politicians outside Parliament.

    She said: "Some of the people we saw in those videos and clips, haranguing and abusing Owen Jones and Anna Soubry, they don’t represent many of the leavers and Brexiteers who I know from my own constituency who are decent people."

    A football supporters group is running its second annual food bank in Leicester.

    Foxes' fan group Union FS will be accepting donations of non-perishable food, clothing and hygiene products outside the King Power ahead of Saturday's clash with Southampton, external. The donations will be given to homeless charity The Bridge.

    You would think a road sign directing you towards Nottingham, would be able to spell the name of the city correctly?

    But it seems not!

    This misspelt sign has been spotted on a large roundabout at the junction of the A610 and M1.

    Via East Midlands, which manages Nottinghamshire's roads, told the Nottingham Post they are carrying out work in the area and are arranging a replacement sign.

    A Nottinghamshire Police officer has been charged with breaching the standards of professional behaviour by misusing police powers.

    A statement from the force said the officer is also accused of speaking to members of the public in an aggressive way, gaining unlawful entry into a property and using unlawful force during an arrest.

    He will face a public misconduct hearing on 16 January.

    Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed their new stadium will not be ready to host matches until at least March.

    This means Leicester City's match against Spurs on 10 February will definitely take place at Wembley, with capacity capped at 51,000.

    Spurs have been playing their home games at the national stadium since last season while work takes place on the new White Hart Lane stadium.

    They had hoped to move into their new ground by September, but the project has suffered several construction delays.

    Katie Boulter from Leicester has secured direct entry to a grand slam for the first time as the tennis season kicks off in Australia.

    While Konta and Watson disappointed in 2018, a host of young British women made leaps forward, including 22-year-old Boulter.

    She made the breakthrough into the top 100 in October, having started the season at 199 and won her first grand slam match at Wimbledon last summer.
