    Two people suffered minor injuries after a light aircraft crashed at Nottingham City Airport this morning.

    Police were called to the Tollerton hub at 10:15 today.

    A spokesman for Nottingham City Airport said: "Two people who were on board walked away and there was no damage to anything [at the airport]."

    The Air Accidents Investigation Branch will be investigating the cause of the crash.

    Laurence Maguire, younger brother of England international Harry, has put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half-year contract with Chesterfield FC.

    He said: "The club has a big place in my heart and I want to help Chesterfield get back to the EFL."

    He has so far scored twice in 59 appearances for the Spireites.

    Money has been stolen from a cash machine after it was targeted shortly after 01:20 this morning.

    The standalone device, in Western Road, Market Harborough, has been cordoned off by police.

    Pictures show the machine appears to have been blown up, with debris strewn across a wide area.

    Police are investigating and believe an Audi RS6, registration number EF12 VRG, was seen close to the scene at the time of the theft.

    Police investigating a major fire in Leicester earlier this month have renewed their appeal for information.

    A fire gutted the Belgrave Commercial Centre on 6 January and is being treated as arson.

    Detectives later released an image of a man seen in the area at the time and have this week been handing out leaflets in Belgrave asking for help to trace him.

    The leaflets have been printed in English, Hindi and Gujarati and include an image of the man detectives want to speak to.

    A pedestrian suffered minor injuries when they were hit by a vehicle in Leicester this morning, police said.

    Leicestershire Police said they were called to Buckminster Road, New Parks shortly after 08:15 this morning.

    A spokeswoman said the accident involved a pedestrian and a vehicle and the road was "partially blocked" for a short time, which caused delays on Anstey Lane.

    The pedestrian was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

    The force said the road has now reopened.

    Derbyshire County Council said gritting teams have been out throughout the night and snowploughs were bring brought in.

    A representative said: "Ice is the major issue today so please drive with extra care if you are travelling."

    There are long delays in New Parks, Leicester because of an accident on Buckminster Road.

    Traffic is heavy on Anstey Lane in both directions between Darenth Drive and Blackbird Road. LeicestershireLive is reporting the accident is between a vehicle and a pedestrian, external.

    Eyewitnesses have reported seeing an air ambulance at the scene.

    Police have said the load "failed to be adequately secured and fell off" blocking lane two. Luckily no one was injured.

    A Leicestershire sabre company manufactures its own Star Wars-style weapons to teach people how to fight, starting each session with a mindfulness session.

    Class members are taught how to spar with one another and how to hold the weapons. The firm in Sileby said it hopes LED sabre fighting will one day become a recognised sport.
