A rescue boat carrying four British crew, including two from the East Midlands, and 47 migrants has docked after almost two weeks.
Sea-Watch 3 was prevented from leaving or sailing into Italian waters after picking up the men and boys in the Mediterranean on 19 January.
The crew claimed they were "hostages" and called for international help as they faced legal threats from Italy's far-right interior minister Matteo Salvini who said they were aiding illegal immigration.
On Wednesday, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said they could disembark after the European Court of Human Rights intervened and six countries - France, Germany, Malta, Portugal, Romania and Luxembourg - agreed to take the migrants in.
This morning, the migrants and crew cheered and hugged as they sailed into the Sicilian port of Catania, the AFP news agency reported.
