Downing Street has criticised schoolchildren taking part in today's climate change demonstrations.
The Prime Minister's official spokeswoman said: "Everybody wants young people to be engaged in the issues that affect them most.

This pair of twins are celebrating their 13th birthday with a climate protest in Nottingham today.
Astrid and Xanthe Baddley, from Edwalton, are both joining students across the country in skipping school to protest against a perceived lack of government action on global warming.
Astrid, left, said: “This world is a messed up place when it comes to climate and we need to raise awareness.
"We need to be giving a voice to the younger generation because the older generation is just borrowing [the environment]. I wouldn’t borrow something from a friend and then completely wreck it before I give it back. I would treat it with respect.”
Xanthe, right, added: “We told school we were coming and they were fine with it.
"The adults need to treat the world with respect because it is going to be ours someday. I can’t think of any other way I’d spend my 13th birthday!”
