A 29-year-old who left a "defenseless" young boy with a broken leg and needing brain surgery will be locked up for nine years.
Michael Muers, of Salmon Close in Nottingham, was sentenced today at Nottingham Crown Court after pleading guilty to causing GBH with intent.
His crime was noticed when the unresponsive boy was rushed to hospital with more than 30 bruises and a bite mark, police said.
He told them he had no idea how he had got the injuries but medical evidence, witness accounts and evidence of his bad temper led to the charge.
He was jailed for nine years with an extension period of four years on licence.
Quote MessageMuers is a dangerous individual with no limit to the violence he is capable of inflicting on others. He attacked a vulnerable, young boy to such a severe degree, knowing full well that he wouldn't be able to defend himself."
