An 88-year-old man was treated by paramedics at the an address in East Grove after neighours reported hearing a loud bang early this morning.
Nottinghamshire Police said a cordon remains in place while they establish what happened but said it is not being treated as suspicious.

A crash has closed roads in Leicestershire.
The A444 at Fenny Drayton is shut, as is the nearby Fenns Lane, Drayton Lane, A444 junction of A5, Wellesborough Rd junction with A444 and Meadowcroft.
There are delays on all the nearby roads, according to Leicestershire's area traffic control, which described it as "serious".
Leicestershire Police said the road's likely to be shut for five hours.

King Street is still closed from the Duffield Road end but there is a considerable difference from this morning.
The road is visible again and the "river" is now down to a small stream.
Severn Trent said it had been concentrating on restoring supplies but was now preparing to dig down to start repairing the burst pipe.

Nigel Starbuck told BBC Radio Nottingham he had arrived to visit his mother in East Grove in Bingham when he noticed a "congregation of people" outside one of the flats.
He said: "I just saw people, neighbours, trying to get in."
Mr Starbuck said he left and came back about 30 minutes later to find a number of emergency service vehicles there.
He added he didn't believe it had been a gas explosion.

Derby Moor Academy has become the latest school to close for the day due to water supply problems following this morning's burst main in King Street.
St Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy has also shut along with a handful of primary schools.

East Midlands Ambulance Service said it sent the air ambulance, paramedics and a community first responder to Bingham this morning.
The helicopter, along with two cars and an ambulance, were sent at the request of the police force at around 8.35.
They could not give details of injuries.
Police said they were responding to reports of a gas explosion in East Grove.

Sheila Fusiara, who lives in East Grove, told BBC Radio Nottingham the reported explosion had happened in a flat.
She said she hadn't heard anything like an explosion but another neighbour heard "a thud and then the alarms going off".

Fire officers will be visiting the Leicestershire village of Kirby Muxloe today - a week on since an elderly couple were killed in a fatal house fire.
Malcolm Nokes, 89, and his 86-year-old wife Margaret both died at the property on Church Road last Friday.
A fire investigation concluded the blaze was started by an electrical fault in the house fuse box.
The fire service will be visiting the area over the next two days to provide reassurance and fire safety advice.

St Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy in Derby has closed due to a lack of water supply as a result of the burst main in King Street.
The school - which has more than 1,300 pupils - said buses were on their way to take children home.
A handful of primary schools have also closed, including Ivy House School, Carlyle Infant and Nursery School and Gayton Junior School - all in Littleover - and St Joseph's Catholic Voluntary Academy in Derby.

Severn Trent has issued an update, external on water supply issues in Derby city centre and surrounding suburbs caused by the burst main in King Street.
The firm said: "We're hard at work on site and have started to move the water around our network to get customers' supplies back on.
"We're also bringing tankers into the area to pump water directly into the pipes, to help get everybody's water back on as quickly as possible.
"The burst pipe is located on the junction of King Street and Queen Street and we'll have traffic management in place as soon as we can. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
