A 150-year-old school's going to close this summer after a council said it was financially unsustainable.
The Henry Prince First School, in Mayfield, Staffordshire, near Ashbourne, has space for 75 pupils, but currently has just 20.
Staffordshire County Council's approved proposals from the school's governing body to shut it, with its financial deficit forecast to rise above £400,00 by 2021-22.
Members of the local parish council called the decision premature, but the county council said there was no alternative but to close it from the end of August.

There'll be a mixture of sharp showers and dry spells tomorrow. Some showers could be on the heavy and perhaps on the thundery side. There will however still be some brighter spells.

Police would like to speak to this man after two peregrine falcon eggs disappeared.
It's not known if the nest site, in the Derbyshire Peak District, was "interfered with" but it has been confirmed that recently laid eggs have gone.
Rural crime officers have been monitoring nests over the last few months with the use of a done.
One pair of birds were seen with two eggs and the female had been incubating them but on Wednesday morning she was off the nest and acting "oddly".
By the afternoon she had left the nest completely and did not return.
Police returned with the drone yesterday afternoon and confirmed the eggs were no longer there.
In a statement, the force said: "There are numerous theories and possibilities as to what happened to the eggs, at this moment in time we simply don’t know if human interference played a role."

Four men who intended to "flood Derbyshire with cocaine" have been jailed for more than 60 years.
The men were arrested after £1.3m worth of heroin, cocaine and cannabis, three firearms and £500,000 in cash were found at a house in Derby in May 2018.
Police have said the evidence pointed to a £35m conspiracy over two years.
Benjamin Mousley (right) and Liutauras Streckis (left) were arrested and approximately 5kg of cocaine was recovered.
Later in the year John Devine (middle) and a fourth man Alvydas Giedraitis were arrested and £5,000 in cash was seized. All were charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and have been sentenced at Derby Crown Court.
Derbyshire police said the men intended to flood the county with cocaine "bringing untold harm to our communities".
