RSPCA rescuers say they have dealt with 1,192 incidents in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire in the month since the start of the lockdown.
There were 428 incidents, which include alleged cruelty and abandoned animals, in Leicestershire, 383 were recorded in Nottinghamshire and 381 in Derbyshire.
These include two orphaned eight-week-old baby badgers, found at an industrial estate in Ilkeston earlier this month.
A couple of days after the lockdown was announced on 23 March, four four-week-old fox cubs were found separated from their mother in a garden, also in Ilkeston.
The RSPCA said both sets of cubs would be released back into the wild once they were independent and strong enough.
The charity has released regional and national figures as part of an emergency appeal to fund its rescue teams during the coronavirus outbreak across England and Wales.
Dermot Murphy, chief inspectorate officer, said: "The coronavirus crisis hasn't put a stop to animal suffering and these figures show there are still many animals out there that need rescuing."

A former evacuee said she is looking forward to the country winning a "victory" over coronavirus as the 75th anniversary of VE Day approaches.
Betty Price was 10 when World War Two broke out, which led to her evacuation from her home in Birmingham to Oakthorpe in Leicestershire.
She returned seven months later after "hating every minute" of what she said was an "utterly miserable" experience, and later married veteran Albert Price.
Last year Mr Price, 93, showed his wife the beach where he had landed on D-Day during a visit with the Royal British Legion to mark the 75th anniversary of Operation Overlord.
The couple, who have been married for 68 years, are now isolating at their home in Solihull due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Ms Price is feeling optimistic the current difficulties will be over soon.
Quote MessageIt's different to wartime, the wartime was very noisy with the planes droning overhead and the sirens going but it's so quiet here now. We're just looking forward to VE Day now because I'm sure we're all going to celebrate and think what a lovely time it was to have victory in Europe and it'll be lovely to have victory over coronavirus."

A recording studio backed by the Duke of Sussex will be expanded to help more young people in Nottingham.
The Community Recording Studio in St Ann's - which has developed a relationship with Prince Harry since he visited in 2013 - is based in part of the Russell Youth Club, and is now set to extend into the rest of the building.
Nottingham City Council, which owns the building, has agreed to sell it to the studio.
The centre is also due to have a revamp courtesy of TV programme DIY SOS in September.
Quote MessageThis arrangement allows the studio to expand into the building, while youth and other community activities can continue to take place on the premises under the ownership and management of the Community Recording Studio. Not only that, but it allows the studio to improve the building, so it really is a win-win."

A dozen fridge freezers have been found dumped in woodland near Mansfield Woodhouse.
Mansfield District Council said it is believed the fly-tipping happened overnight on Monday, off Peafield Lane, near the Redbrick House Hotel.
A spokeswoman said: "There is never any excuse for fly-tipping. We’d ask people to hold on to their unwanted items until charity shops and recycling centres reopen.
"We’d also urge people to check anyone who is removing their waste has a waste carriers licence."
The council is investigating the incident and appealing to the public for help.
The authority will also be contacting the landowner, who will be responsible for clearing it up as it is on privately-owned land.

Firefighters who have been fighting a moorland fire for a sixth day are hoping for rain.
The fire at Rakes Moss, near Crowden in Derbyshire's Peak District, is still burning having started on Thursday.
Station manager Marc Redford said: “Over the last few days crews have had to work in extremely hot, dry and challenging conditions, fighting a fire that is deep seated in the peat of the moorland. Today that firefighting continues.
"We are hopeful that tomorrow we will get some rain that will help and support our firefighting operations and allow us to scale the incident back."
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service is working with firefighters from Greater Manchester, Peak Park Rangers, land owners United Utilities and the RSPB to extinguish the fire and protect the ecosystem and wildlife.
The Salvation Army has been providing food and drinks to everyone working there.
A fire investigation into the cause is ongoing.

Communities Secretary Robert Jenrick has said he is telling councils across England to plan the "organised reopening" of household waste collection sites.
The Newark MP told the House of Commons he expects this to happen "in the coming weeks".
Many waste facilities closed in March, which some MPs said led to a rise in fly-tipping during the lockdown.
Amended guidance for English councils would be published "shortly", Mr Jenrick added.

A minute's silence was held across the UK earlier to commemorate the key workers who have died with coronavirus.
The brother of University Hospitals of Derby and Burton consultant Amged El-Hawrani - who was one of the first senior medics to die after contracting the virus - described him as a "hero".
Mr El-Hawrani worked for the trust at Queen's Hospital Burton but died at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester last month.
More than 100 NHS and care staff have now died with the virus.
Talking about his brother, Amal El-Hawrani said: "Is he a hero? Of course, just like every doctor, every nurse and every worker at the NHS.
"My heart goes out to anyone who has also lost someone because of this virus."

A couple held a ceremony over Zoom using Haribo rings on the day they should have been married.
Sophie Spong, 33, and her fiance Terry Compton, 34, from Leicester, were due to be married on Saturday but had to postpone because of the lockdown.
But, rather than dwell on the "horrible" situation, the pair decided to go ahead with a virtual "wedding warm-up" from their front room.
More than 50 guests, dressed in wedding gear paired with shorts or pyjama bottoms, tuned in to watch the couple make vows and to take part in a singalong to All You Need Is Love.
Miss Spong told the BBC: "I'm really glad we did it. People say your wedding day is the best day of your life and I felt so high on life after it. It made what would have been a negative day into a special one.
"Plus, we're going to get to do it again."
Miss Spong wore a white dress - but not the white dress - and the pair exchanged Haribo rings.
Mr Compton added: "It will make the next time it comes around extra special. And I think we will do a bit of a celebration to mark it every year."
The actual wedding will now take place in January.
