The organisers of the Robin Hood Marathon have confirmed the event will not take place this year, meaning they can't celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first run.
It's become a landmark local event, with thousands of entrants taking part and roads closed through Nottingham as the race takes place, but the event will now be postponed until September 2021.
In a statement, the organisers said they took the "very tough decision" due to ongoing uncertainty over mass participation events following the coronavirus pandemic, with restrictions likely to affect the "integrity" of the race.
