A man arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found in her back garden has been released on bail.

Elaine Geoghegan, 70, was found face down in a pond at Shelland Close, Market Harborough, in August 2019.

A post-mortem examination concluded the cause of death was unexplained and Leicestershire Police said investigations carried out since then had led them to launch a murder investigation.

A 71-year-old man from Market Harborough was subsequently detained on Thursday morning.
