People are being encouraged to apply for jobs to support the Covid-19 mass vaccination programme in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Encouraging reports about vaccine developments mean health authorities are preparing for what they describe as "the biggest vaccination programme ever seen".
They said they are seeking staff to support the programme, external, including those who do not currently work in healthcare, with pay rates of up to £20 an hour.
Dr Andy Haynes, executive lead with the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System, said: “The NHS has well-established plans for delivering vaccinations, including the annual flu jab and children’s immunisations, and work is under way to build on these tried-and-tested approaches, so that when a Covid-19 vaccine is ready, we can deliver it safely.
"While GPs, hospital doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff will all be part of the plan, we need to employ more people in order to support the system further."
The NHS said such roles may involve setting up vaccination stations or supporting with the disposing of clinical waste.
Dr Haynes called on those with advanced first aid or care experience to get in touch but added people who have lost their job as a result of the pandemic may also wish to apply.

An elderly man had the chains he was wearing around his neck stolen after four men forced their way into his home.
Leicestershire Police said the man, who is in his 80s, was at his house in Malvern Avenue, Shepshed, with a woman in her 70s when they were confronted by the group at about 21:30 on Tuesday.
The men also took some of the woman's rings (pictured) and other items of jewellery including an 18ct gold Jaguar keyring with diamonds (similar to the one pictured).
Det Con Julia Newton, who is investigating, said she believed the men left the house and made their way to Leicester Road.
"I would like to speak to anyone who saw a group of four men acting in a suspicious or unusual manner in or around Malvern Avenue, Leicester Road or Linley Avenue on Tuesday night," she added.

Twycross Zoo say they're relying heavily on public support to stay afloat as they struggle to get government aid during the pandemic.
Managers at the attraction say it's proving difficult to get access to a £100m fund, external to help them.
Earlier this week a group of MPs wrote to the government to demand easier access to funds for zoos.

The reopening of Nottingham Castle has been pushed back by seven weeks to the end of March, with the trust managing the site saying it's because of the coronavirus pandemic.
It closed its doors for two years in 2018 ahead of a £30m facelift.
Despite the delay, the process of recruiting for jobs at the new castle experience has begun.
Department for Transport figures show 37% of services in the county were at least six minutes late.

Two people are being sought by police after a man was stabbed in the face and back in Nottingham last night.
Nottinghamshire Police said the 24-year-old man was attacked at 22:05 in the Alfreton Road area and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police have launched an attempted murder investigation and "are actively seeking two suspects".
"We are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious or who might have any information that could help, no matter how small, to get in touch with us," Det Insp Ruby Burrow said.
Officers remain at the scene while inquiries continue.

Leicester still has the highest coronavirus rate in the East Midlands, new figures show.
In the seven days to 15 November there were 507.9 positive tests per 100,000 in the city, putting it 11th in England.
Leicester's rate is also still increasing, up from 473.7 the week before.
Neighbouring Oadby and Wigston is in 13th place with a rate of 501.6.
Nottingham has a rate of 251.1, while Derby has a rate of 387.1, with both falling.
The England average figure is 265.5.

Two men have been arrested after an "accelerant" was poured through a letterbox.
Nottinghamshire Police were called to Huddlestones Wharf in Newark on Wednesday at about 15:20 after the suspects fled.
Two men, both aged 20 and from London, were arrested nearby.
The pair have since been released on conditional bail and the investigation continues, the force said.

A man is in hospital after he was shot in the arm.
Nottinghamshire Police said armed officers were deployed to Hickings Lane Park, Stapleford, on Wednesday at about 22:30 to secure the area.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Detectives have appealed for help in finding those responsible for the shooting.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an NHS security guard after reports of a protest at the Royal Derby Hospital.
Derbyshire Police were called to the hospital yesterday afternoon where they found two people - who were believed to be protesting about the pandemic - and a group of onlookers.
University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust chief executive Gavin Boyle said: "Anyone who believes Covid-19 is not a significant risk to public health is misguided."

A case against 12 men and a woman who are accused of stealing a £3.5m tiara from a Nottinghamshire estate has been adjourned until next year.
The defendants, who are from Nottinghamshire, London and Birmingham and aged between 21 and 49, were charged in October with a variety of offences including conspiracy and converting criminal property.
It is connected to a plot to steal the Portland Tiara and other jewellery from the Welbeck Estate, near Worksop, in November 2018.
None of the 13 defendants appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday when the case was adjourned for a plea hearing on 8 January.
Judge Gregory Dickinson QC said matters already scheduled to be dealt with meant a potential trial may not take place until early 2022.
