    Irishman Hoban netted two second-half goals for the Us as they came from behind to beat Braintree 3-1 at the Kassam Stadium last night.

    "Everyone's playing so well in the squad at the moment," he told BBC Radio Oxford. 

    "Everyone's chipping in with goals across the side and that's what you want. If I just keep my confidence up, it gives the manager options."

    Young people aged between 13 and 18 will be present at the first parliamentary sitting in Oxford for more than 300 years.

    The event is part of Oxfordshire County Council’s Magna Carta inspired ‘Find Your Voice’ arts and democracy project, external.  

    They will be present for an historic sitting of Parliament at the Divinity School, Bodleian Library, tomorrow.

    Residents in Didcot escaped unhurt when a tree hit their houses in strong winds caused by Storm Barney.

    The 60ft-high (18m) tree crashed onto two homes in Mendip Heights shortly after 21:00 on Tuesday.

    Counselling services for adults who were sexually abused as children are to be extended in Oxfordshire following a grant from the Home Office.

    A new group is being set up in Oxford following a number of high-profile cases of child sexual exploitation.

    The government's pledged £200,000 for group therapy sessions.

  14. Cyclist killed in fatal Banbury lorry crash is namedpublished at 11:19

    Thames Valley Police has named 20-year-old Kit Pentlow, from Banbury, as the cyclist killed in an accident on 4 November this year.

    He died in a collision with a a blue Scania heavy goods vehicle on Ermont Way at the junction with the A422 Hennef Way roundabout shortly before 13:00.

    Responding to today's IPCC report, external today, Assistant Chief Constable Chris Shead says Thames Valley Police "fully accept[s] the findings in their report".

    He adds: "Sadly, Jayden Parkinson had already been murdered by Ben Blakeley when she was reported missing and therefore TVP could not have prevented her tragic death. We are determined however to act upon any lessons to be learned.”

    In its report published today, external, the IPCC found Thames Valley Police failed to record important information and allocate sufficient resources to progress earlier inquiries regarding Jayden, which had a detrimental impact on the later missing person investigation.

    IPCC associate commissioner Guido Liguori says: “Jayden was clearly vulnerable when she came to police attention a number of times prior to her death. 

    "If information about these interactions had been correctly recorded on police systems, Jayden would have been treated as a high priority when she later went missing."

    Three police officers have been disciplined over Jayden's disappearance.
