    Former deputy prime minister Nick Clegg will be in Oxford later as he once again goes head-to-head with Ukip leader Nigel Farage on Europe.

    The politicians will be debating Britain and the EU at the Oxford Union, external.

    The pair went up against each other twice in 2014 in two televised debates leading up to the European elections.

    Tonight they'll also be joined by Jose Manuel Barroso - the former president of the EU - and MP Sir William Cash.

  6. Travel latest: Long delays on A34 after crashpublished at 08:42

    There has been a collision on the A34 southbound just north of the Peartree roundabout.

    That's causing delays all the way back to the M40 junction, and traffic is gridlocked on the roundabout there.

  7. Hospital pipe disruption 'worrying'published at 08:36

    Headington residents say they are concerned the laying of a pipe between two hospitals will create travel disruption.

    Patrick Coulter from the Highfield Residents Association told Charles Nove that 20,000 cars use the London Road a day, and weeks of works were expected.

    A pipe is being laid underground to link two of Oxford's biggest hospitals.

    The mile-long pipe is part of a £14.8m project to upgrade the heating and hot water systems at the John Radcliffe and the Churchill.

    Details on the Hospital Energy project will be officially released by Oxfordshire University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, external next week.
