On South Today this evening: Some patients ringing the NHS's 111 helpline in our area have been talking to "inexperienced staff" who were "not being monitored effectively", according an internal inquiry by the service.

The inquiry was triggered by an undercover investigation by the Daily Telegraph last summer, which claimed seriously-ill patients were being denied ambulances.

Oxford United manager Michael Appleton could seek another deal with Rotherham for Chris Maguire as he hunts for a striker before the January transfer window closes.
