Friday sees Sport Relief take to the airwaves again, with thousands taking on challenges to raise money.
BBC Radio Oxford is attempting to row the length of the River Thames in the county, on a rowing machine, in under 12 hours.
The team will be lead by Howard Bentham as he slips into the seat at 07:00.
The Church of England's representative in the Commons - Caroline Spelman MP - says a fresh attempt to fill the post of Bishop of Oxford is underway, but the length of time the post had been vacant was of "concern".
She was responding to a question from Richard Benyon MP, who compared the wait to the delay in publishing the Iraq war inquiry.
The secrets of a machine that can generate light a billion times brighter than the sun will be revealed to curious members of the public, external at Diamond Light Source on Saturday.
Dr Waney Squier, who is the subject of a tribunal which found she had misled courts in cases where parents were accused of killing their children, says she has been devastated by the judgement.
Dr Squier, who faces possible sanctions including being struck off, said the possible end of her career was "terribly painful".

A tribunal has ruled that a doctor who works at the John Radcliffe Hospital has had her ability to practise impaired, after she was found to have misled courts as an expert witness in cases of shaken babies.
The tribunal is now considering what sanction to impose, if any.

The selection process for appointing a new Bishop of Oxford is underway, the acting bishop Colin Fletcher says.
The Crown Nominations Commission met last week to discuss the position which has been vacant since October 2014.

Protesters against plans to close the county’s 44 children’s centres have launched a letter writing campaign, external.
A tribunal has ruled that a leading doctor, who was found to have misled courts as an expert witness for parents accused of killing their children, has had her fitness to practise impaired.
Last week the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service ruled that Dr Waney Squier had given irresponsible evidence outside her area of expertise.

Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service declaration
The preferred route for a new perimeter road at Bicester has been selected by Oxfordshire County Council.
The southern alignment (option 2) was the most popular choice in the public consultation, and the council is proposing to safeguard the land needed to build the road so that it cannot be built upon.
Planning approval and funding have yet to be secured for the road.
