    The Mercedes team snapped a picture of rookie driver Jolyon Palmer seemingly contemplating the correct way to hold his crash helmet. In response Renault mocked Lewis Hamilton's mobile phone use while appearing at a news conference.

    A service for adult carers in Oxfordshire which has existed for more than 20 years is closing down, external, because there isn't enough money to keep it going.

    South and Vale Carers provides help and respite to about 700 adult carers a year, but new legislation means local authorities are now responsible for offering most of those services.

    The charity will now be concentrating on supporting young carers.

    Magician Paul Daniels has died aged 77, after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

    He was at his Berkshire home with wife Debbie McGee when he died in the early hours of Thursday.

    In 2014 Daniels spoke to BBC Radio Oxford's Kat Orman about the beginning of his career, and the moment he first realised he was a success on TV.

    The impact of the tax on sugary drinks announced by George Osborne in the Budget yesterday needs to be evaluated, according to professor of diet and population health at Oxford University, Susan Jebb.

    The tax will be levied on the volume of the sugar-sweetened drinks companies produce or import and is expected to raise £520m.
