Shropshire's taken a pounding from the wind overnight, with more than 1,000 homes and businesses losing power and many roads blocked.

We will be seeing some showers this afternoon.

Train services, external to Birmingham are being delayed this morning because overhead cables are down in Coseley. 

Some Arriva services are being diverted and won't call at Smethwick Galton Street. 

Others are terminating at Wolverhampton.
