While the forecast is for drier weather on Friday, the Environment Agency still has dozens of flood warnings, external in place across the three counties, along with a handful in Staffordshire and Warwickshire.
With river levels still rising downstream as water from this week's rain makes its way through the system, the agency says some places may not see a peak until Saturday.
Dozens of roads in Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire were closed on Thursday due to flooding and three families were rescued by boat in Hereford.
Clare Dinnis, Environment Agency area director for the West Midlands, said they would closely monitor rivers over the next couple of days.
"The good news is that we're not expecting the extreme levels that we've seen particularly last year, but this is a significant flood and... some homes have already been affected."

People in Shropshire are being told Covid rules will let them leave their homes in an emergency such as flooding.
Firefighters in the county were called to more than 70 incidents on Wednesday night, with most of them flooding-related.
Some people have questioned whether they are allowed to leave their home during lockdown.
But Russ Hales, from Shropshire Fire and Rescue service, said the guidelines allowed it.
"If it is a threat to life then that out weighs the self-isolation as per government guidance," he said.
People heading to get their Covid vaccination at a hospital are being warned one of its entry roads has flooded.
It's the route by the entrance to the vaccination hub at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, in Gobowen, Shropshire, that's underwater.
The NHS trust said, external people coming for their jab should try to access the hospital from the Whittington direction instead.
