    BBC Weather Watchers

In his poem Endymion, the poet John Keats told us "a thing of beauty is a joy forever".

The poem was supposedly based on a Greek myth, but its description of trees, rivers and sheep could very easily have been the natural wonders of Yorkshire.

Wonders which, as evidenced below, there's an abundance of today in the BBC Weather Watchers inbox.

    BBC Local Live, Sheffield

South Yorkshire Police has spent nearly £2.3m more than it budgeted for in overtime payments.

The force had already set aside £5m for additional work.

The force says one reason for the splurge on overtime pay is because of staff shortages, particularly at Atlas Court, the call handling centre.

It means the staff that do work there have put in extra hours.

Despite this South Yorkshire Police has been encouraging people to take voluntary redundancy.

But the force says in the long-term the strategy should pay off.
