The MP spoke during a parliamentary debate triggered after more than 150,000 people signed an e-petition against discriminatory workplace dress codes  which was launched by a receptionist sent home for refusing to wear heels.

  7. Traffic and travel: Landslip affects West Yorkshire rail services published at 06:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2017

Yesterday's landslip south of Halifax Railway Station continues to cause disruption to rail services in West Yorkshire this morning.

The line between Sowerby Bridge and Bradford Interchange is closed to allow repair work to be carried out.

Trains to and from Manchester Victoria and Blackpool - which would normally run via Halifax and Bradford interchange - are currently being diverted via Elland.

Otherwise, things are generally running smoothly at Yorkshire's main stations with no major delays so far.
