    Thousands of elderly people in north Staffordshire are being targeted by doctors in north Staffordshire as part of a new community health scheme.

    A group of doctors from six GP surgeries , externalin Newcastle-under-Lyme are informing people about what help and funding is available.

    Over the last two years they say healthcare workers like Brigitte Knowles have made around 3,000 visits to pensioners.

    A South Cheshire deli has got what's thought to be the UK's largest cheese on display.

    The 100kg (220lb), six-month-old Swiss Emmental is on display at Godfrey C Williams and Son, external in Sandbach. 

    It's just under a metre (three feet) in diameter, imported from Switzerland and thought to be the only one of its kind in the country.

    On the A50 Newcastle Road in Fourlanes End near Sandbach, the road is closed both ways between the Love Lane junction and Arclid Traffic Lights.

    It's because of an accident involving one vehicle and bricks on the road.
