    People have been leaving their tributes on the BBC Radio Stoke Facebook page, external to the Stoke-on-Trent-born Motorhead frontman Lemmy, who's died aged 70.

    Daniel Johnson wrote, external: "Lemmy- you did us proud! Rest in peace rock legend" and Alan P Ford added, external: "Burslem legend RIP".

    Andy Price posted, external: "So sad , maybe the forgotten rock star from the area with more well known stars getting the limelight".

    An investigation is continuing into how a man died after being hit by a car , externalon the A38 near Burton, police say.

    Staffordshire Police says it happened yesterday afternoon in Branston, near the Gate Inn pub, on the southbound side. 

    The man suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

    The Stoke-on-Trent born Motorhead frontman Lemmy has died aged 70, two days after learning he had cancer, the British band has announced.

    Lemmy formed the rock group in 1975 and recorded 22 albums, including Ace of Spades, as he became one of music's most recognisable voices and faces.

    The band said on its Facebook page, external: "Our mighty, noble friend Lemmy has passed away after a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer."
