    The price Muller pays farmers for their milk is to fall again in June, external.

    The Market Drayton-based company says its average milk price is dropping to just over 19p a litre.

    It says "markets continue to be severely depressed due to the balance of supply and demand".

    It's the fourth monthly price cut in a row.

    The family of Tomasz Bachta say "no punishment" will ease their sorrow on the day the four men who killed him were jailed.

    Staffordshire Police said Mr Bachta was attacked after working a night shift on 15 July.

    In a statement, his family said that day changed their whole lives, calling Tomasz a "beloved son, brother and uncle".

    Four men have been jailed today for their part in killing a man, external in a "calculated" attack. 

    Tomasz Bachta, 29, (pictured) died outside his home in All Saints Road, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, on 15 July.

    A post-mortem examination confirmed he died from a stab wound to the neck.

    Today at Stafford Crown Court, Piotr Miezal, 33, was jailed for nine years after being convicted of manslaughter earlier this month. 

    Bartosz Ojeda-Rodriguez, 35, Stanislaw Czyz, 29, and Andrzej Pawel Czyz, 31, were all jailed for life, to serve a minimum of 20 years, after being found guilty of murder.

    Last year's wet summer, followed by one of the warmest winters on record, has helped to create a generation of sleepless slugs, wildlife experts have warned.  

    The weather has not been cold enough in recent months to send the creatures into hibernation.

    Conservation charity BugLife said Britons could start to a see a slug population "explosion".

    This could cause "devastation for our gardens", it warned.

    A 17-year-old cyclist has been taken to hospital after being hit by a van in Stafford.

    West Midlands Ambulance Service, external say it happened outside the Sainsbury's on Chell Road at about 08:00 this morning. 

    They say the man was treated for leg injuries before being taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

    Staffordshire marks it's 1000th birthday on Sunday, external

    The first recorded mention of Staffordshire was in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle in 1016, the county council says.

    Celebrations and events are planned across the county to mark the anniversary.   

    Richard Swancott is from Enjoy Staffordshire who are helping organise it and told BBC Radio Stoke a lot of hard work has gone into the planning.

    A warning's been issued in Staffordshire by an NHS Trust, external about exploding hearing aid batteries.

    The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust says it is one of many in the country that received a batch of batteries for the devices, made by ZeniPower. 

    The trust says it'd been told "there was a low risk that some batteries used in hearing aids could explode".

    It says the warning only affects products with a use-by date of August or September 2018 and if people have one, they should return it.

    A sketch by LS Lowry on a six-inch (15cm) napkin has sold for £7,000 , externalat an auction in Nantwich, Cheshire.

    The drawing is of a Welsh handball court in 1961.

    It was sold by Peter Wilson Auctioneers who said the sketch had been given as a gift to the seller's father by another artist, Peter Warburton, who was a "close friend" of Lowry's.
