    BBC Local Live

About 60 people visited Stoke Minster School to view an exhibition of proposals for the site of Stoke City's former Victoria Ground last Thursday, St Modwen says.

It is not the first time plans have been mooted for homes to be built on the same land.

About 250 people living near the site signed a petition in 2007 objecting to plans to turn it into houses.

Then, developers St Modwen Properties wanted to turn the land into homes, but residents then said they would prefer to see the former ground turned into a park.

New public open space and a children's play area are included in the most recent proposal.

    - A round plaque where the centre circle once was

    - Roads being named after famous former Potters players

    - An information board in the public open space

    - A piece of public art such as a sculpture

You can email your comments, external on the site off Boothen Old Road.

The Potters moved to the Britannia Stadium, which has since been renamed the bet365 Stadium, in 1997. The old Victoria Ground was demolished and cleared a year later.

The men appeared at the Old Bailey earlier via videolink from Belmarsh prison and sat in a row chatting to each other before the start of the hearing.

Judge Mr Justice Saunders was forced to mute the feed as the defendants could be heard joking and laughing as they tried to adjust the camera angle. They each held their hand up in answer to their names.

The trial, which will take place before a High Court judge, was provisionally set for 27 February and is expected to last eight to 10 weeks.

It is third time in five games that Stoke have conceded four goals.

The BBC's Inside Out West Midlands tonight looks at the problem in Stoke-on-Trent, and one woman is fined £400 for dumping rubbish.

The council's leader, Councillor Dave Conway, says while that's a lot of money, it's nothing compared with what the council pays out to clean up the mess.

He said: "It also takes a lot of money to clean it up. It's better to pay and keep the area clear when there are people who are trying to make our city a mess."
