The Stoke-on-Trent South Labour MP, Rob Flello, says he's angry a £1.2bn plan to outsource Staffordshire's cancer and end-of-life care is to be revived.
The project, which has attracted considerable opposition, was put on hold in January after a similar contract in Cambridge was scrapped due to financial concerns.
Over the weekend, NHS England gave the project the go-ahead, with the 10-year contract in Staffordshire expected to be up and running by April.
Mr Flello says it's unpopular and dangerous, and could see a private provider take over NHS care.
Health bosses say it will improve outcomes for patients.

Christine used Your Questions to ask: "Is legendary Lonnie still alive?"
For those who don't know, Lonnie Cooke has been called Stoke-on-Trent's longest-living rocker and started gigging back in 1956.
As the nickname suggests, he's regarded as a legend in the city and, I can confirm, is alive and kicking.
In fact he told me over the phone he's still out gigging, including performing at this year's Newcastle Jazz and Blues Festival and he switched on Stoke's Christmas lights a couple of weeks back.
In his own words "still enough to stop me rusting".

The Football Association has confirmed it is investigating allegations of sexual abuse in football, which became public after ex-Crewe player Andy Woodward came forward.
Mr Woodward, who's 43, went public on 16 November about his abuse by former Crewe coach and youth football scout Barry Bennell, who was later convicted of sex offences against children.
Crewe have begun their own independent review into the allegations.
The FA said it was working closely with police, adding it "must ensure we do not do anything to interfere with or jeopardise the criminal process".
Football's world governing body, FIFA, says it is monitoring the allegations of child sexual abuse within English football "closely".

The Stoke City manager says his side "worked really well" to inflict Watford's first home defeat since August.
An own goal by goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes gave the visitors the win as Charlie Adam's header came off the post and ricocheted back into the goal.
If there was a touch of fortune about the goal, Stoke were full value for their victory against sluggish opponents, who missed out on the chance to climb to sixth in the Premier League.
Watford had defender Miguel Britos sent off in the closing stages for a second yellow card, after Gomes had saved well from Bruno Martins Indi, while Stoke's club-record £18.3m signing, Giannelli Imbula, also went close from 25 yards.
Quote MessageWe were a little bit stretched in terms of personnel. I thought we worked really well and made it happen, I think that was the key. To a man they ran and made it work."
