    Stoke-on-Trent pop star Robbie Williams's management team is placing tickets directly on to resale ticketing websites at higher prices, the Victoria Derbyshire show has found.

    Ie:music put tickets for Williams's 2017 tour on Get Me In and Seatwave - in one case for £65 more, before fees, than a similar ticket on Ticketmaster.

    The company has previously called on the government to take stronger action against resale sites.

    Ie:music has not responded to repeated requests for a statement.

    Ticketmaster, which owns Get Me In and Seatwave, said the tickets - which it describes as "platinum" tickets - on the sites were "priced according to demand, in consultation with our clients, the event organisers".

    A couple of builders have been thanked by police in the Staffordshire Moorlands for helping clear a road after a tree fell across part of it.

    A Staffordshire market has been cancelled today because of the danger from high winds.

    The Charter Market in Leek has operated for more than 800 years.

    But with winds of 25mph forecast, it will not take place today on Market Place on health and safety grounds. 

    The indoor markets are unaffected.

    Network Rail say their "chainsaw gang" is on site in Shenstone near Lichfield this morning to clear a tree that's come down on overhead cables.

    Strong winds are causing disruption this morning on roads across Staffordshire and Cheshire.

    BBC Radio Stoke has received reports of trees falling on routes including Hassall Road in Alsager, Pool Street in Fenton and on Ashbourne Road in Cheadle

    BBC Weather forecasts say the winds are expected to continue for most of the day, with gales over higher ground.

  14. Travel: Fallen trees affecting several Staffordshire roadspublished at 08:16 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2017

    There are a number of roads affected by fallen trees this morning:

    - There's one partially blocking the A513 Main Road westbound in Milford near Stafford

    - A lane is shut on the A38 northbound in Lichfield at the Old London Road junction, due to a fallen tree

    - One's also partially blocking the B5032 Ashbourne Road westbound in Cheadle at the Thorley Drive junction

  18. Travel: Delays follow M6 closure amid 'police incidents'published at 17:58 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2017

    Two "police incidents" are causing traffic delays on the M6 around Staffordshire.

    A stretch of the motorway was closed both ways between junctions 13 and 14 (Stafford and Stone respectively), Central Motorway Police Group said - an "incident" since "cleared", according to Highways England which says traffic has been released in both directions. 

    Delays, however, are expected.

    Highways England has also highlighted delays in connection with a "police incident" on M6 northbound between junctions 12 and 13.

    Headteachers at a number of Cheshire East schools have met with the Government to express concern about the level of funding they're to get under a new formula.

    Cheshire East Council says it was hoping local schools would get a better deal after a number of years of what it calls 'poor funding'. 

    The authority says Schools Minister Nick Gibb has agreed to look at the issue.
