    The government is investigating claims that a document outlining the prime minister's schedule for a visit to Cheshire was left on a train.

    According to  the Mirror, external , the briefing note was found on the floor of a first-class carriage on a train heading from Manchester to Edinburgh in January.

    The document identified details such as a private address where Theresa May was attending a dinner that evening.

    A Cabinet Office spokeswoman said they had been made aware of the claims.

    Mobile phone company Vodafone says it's creating more than 150 jobs in Stoke-on-Trent as part of a national expansion. 

    The firm says, overall, 2,100 positions are being created , with 800 additional posts in Manchester, almost 150 in Newark and about 100 in Glasgow, on top of the Potteries jobs.

    Vodafone already has a base in Stoke-on-Trent with offices on Shelton Boulevard on Festival Park.

    It comes days after  it announced hundreds of job cuts  at its Newbury HQ.

    The firm said the jobs would improve the quality of service for its 18 million UK customers and was part of a wider, three-year, £2bn investment programme in network and services.
