    People in Staffordshire are being urged to remain "calm but vigilant" following the evacuation of Lichfield Cathedral yesterday.

    It happened after reports a man was acting suspiciously at the site.

    Staffordshire Police closed the cathedral at lunchtime and searched the grounds. The force since tweeted nothing of note had been found, external.

    The cathedral is set to reopen to the public today.

    After last week's terror attack the worker bee was widely shared as a symbol of the city.

    Whelan, 33, joined Stoke from Sheffield Wednesday in 2008 and has gone on to play 286 games for the club.
