    Greater Anglia say following a fault with the signalling system earlier today at Ipswich, all lines have now reopened and services are running normally.

    A partnership of 199 between George Thurstance and James Middlebrook gave the away side the upper hand as they declared on 462 for 9, a first innings lead of 121.

    At stumps yesterday, Suffolk reached 150 for 4, external, with captain Tom Huggins unbeaten on 62.

    Chris Walker-Hebborn believes someone was watching over him as he just about made it into the final of the 100m backstroke at the World Championships in Russia, external yesterday.

    The 25-year-old, from Bury St Edmunds, who won double gold at last year's Commonwealth Games, will compete for a medal alongside fellow Brit Liam Tancock later today.

    "I messed my finish up in the semi-final and was lucky to make it in the end, but it's great to be here and it's one of the best atmosphere's I've ever been a part of," Walker-Hebborn said.

    A Leiston man is spending a week off work, dressed in camouflage clothes and hiding in hedges with a camera as part of a campaign to name and shame people who don't clear up their dog's mess.

    Andrew Hawes says it's time for drastic action: "What I do now, from time to time, is hide in the hedge, watch the people. If they don't clear up after their dog then I'll just pop out of the hedge and say excuse me, could you please clean up after your dog?

    Ipswich Town are expected to make it a trio of new signings for the week later today with Brentford midfielder Jonathon Douglas (pictured) poised to join the Blues ahead of the two sides' meeting at Griffin Park on Saturday.

    Douglas, 33, has been told he is surplus to requirements by new Bees coach Marinus Dijkhuizen.

    As expected, former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Giles Coke and Guinea international Larsen Toure completed their moves to Portman Road yesterday having impressed manager Mick McCarthy while on trial at Ipswich during pre-season.
