    Younger visitors to this year's Latitude Festival, external at Henham Park, near Southwold, will have a chance to find out more about nature, with activities organised by Suffolk Wildlife Trust, external in the award-winning children's area.

    Head of education Judy Powell says: "We will be lake dipping which is really popular, with nets to catch lots of animals.

    "We're going to be doing willow fish and lots of willow activities; making dragonflies and butterflies."

    The final preparations at Henham Park, near Southwold, are under way, in time for the start of the 11th Latitude Festival, external, later today.

    For Hektor Rous, estate manager and son of the sixth Earl of Stradbroke, this festival will be particularly special, as it's the first time his daughter Alexandria, who's 10 months old, will be attending.

    "We're so excited. Her little eyes are going to pop out of her head when she sees some of the amazing things they do down at the kids' area and on the stages... it'll be great to show her around as well," he said.

    There's a new traffic plan in place this year to manage the thousands of Latitude Festival, external-goers coming to Suffolk over the next two days. 

    Specified routes have been sent out with tickets to try and ease congestion on the A12 to Henham Park.

    Insp Nick Aitken from Suffolk Police says it's important people take notice of which route their ticket says they should go, and not follow their sat-nav. "If you're local, just allow a little bit of extra time for your journey," he said.

    "We expect Thursday obviously to be busy, and Friday busy as well but it's around that afternoon and early evening time just to watch out for and to plan your journey times around that."

    The 11th Latitude Festival, external gets under way today, with around 25,000 visitors heading to Henham Park over the next three days, so we'll start off taking a look at that.
