Thanks to Ross Tricker, who's sent us this photograph of traffic queuing on London Road, coming into Ipswich:
We're always pleased to hear your thoughts on what's happening in the county, so thanks to Richard Maidstone who's emailed us saying: "What a ridiculous decision to keep the Orwell Bridge closed for the rush hour when we have at worst a stiff breeze.
"It's health and safety gone overboard.
"Why not just reduce the speed limit on the bridge to 30mph [48km/h], as least that would avoid the chaos?"
This picture shows traffic heading south on the A12 to the east of Ipswich, approaching the A14 Seven Hills Interchange:
Our BBC colleague Mark, who's sent in these photographs as he tries to make his way into Ipswich town centre from Kesgrave, says:
"This is the third route I've tried to get into Ipswich and all are gridlocked - Main Road, Kesgrave; Foxhall Road, Ipswich, and now Bucklesham Road, Ipswich.
"Traffic is not moving. I can see big lorries that wouldn't normally be on these roads caught up in the jams.
"It's going to be a long journey in."
While Ipswich is in gridlock after the closure of the Orwell Bridge, there's been an accident on a main road into Lowestoft town centre:

The A14 Orwell Bridge is completely closed due to high winds, with traffic being diverted off the dual carriageway at the A12 Copdock interchange (J58) and the Nacton interchange (J57).
The first photograph is of the scene at the Seven Hills junction at Nacton just a few minutes ago, the second photograph is of Stoke Bridge in Ipswich town centre at about 07:35.

Simon Amor from Highways England says it's always a "very difficult" decision to close the Orwell Bridge.
"We realise that closing the bridge will inconvenience our road users and also the people in Ipswich so, yes, it's not an easy decision to make," he said.
"Safety's our number one priority, we've got a windspeed threshold of 60mph (97km/h) on the bridge when we have to look at closing it.
"The wind overnight has been in the region of 80mph (129km/h), so it looks like that decision has been justified."

If you're a passenger in a vehicle and can safely take a photograph of the queues, you can email us, post a message on our Facebook page, external, or contact us via Twitter, external.
This picture was taken by a passenger coming into Ipswich on the Wherstead Road at the Vernon Street section.

Before we sign off, a reminder of some of the stories we've been looking at during the day:
We'll leave you with this unusual picture taken on Aldeburgh Beach - and no, your eyes aren't deceiving you. Scroll down to find out why there is a Christmas tree on the shingle.

BBC Look East weather
It'll be a largely cloudy night with showers or longer spells of rain, heavy at times. It'll be blustery too, with winds near gale force at times around parts of the coast. Lows of 6C (43F).
Tomorrow there may be a little brightness or sunshine, but overall it will be cloudy with further rain or showers.
However, there are some places that could see a largely dry day. Temperatures, for some of us, climbing into double figures with highs about 10C (50F).

People living on Long Road in Leiston say they warned the planning authorities that there would be no access to developers along their road:
Guy Campbell
BBC Radio Suffolk
Angry residents of Leiston have blocked an access road with their cars, in a stand-off with developers.
The residents, who live along Long Row, an unadopted road which is an old drovers track, claim developers do not have permission to use it to gain access to a small housing plot, and they fear construction will damage their homes.
One of them, Kieron Kimmings, says: "We did advise the auction house who put this land up for sale we would blockade the trackway.
"We advised Suffolk Coastal, highways, parish council that we would blockade the trackway, because it's not a public right of way."
We haven't yet been able to identify who the developers are, to ask them for a comment.
If you've been to Aldeburgh beach over the last couple of days, you might have noticed something rather unusual:
It's the brainchild of Caroline Wiseman and Robert Mabey, who says when the lights are on at night, and the sea is really black, it "really stands out on the coast as a bit of a beacon".
He adds that there are messages on the tree for people "who are not going to be with us at Christmas... it's time to think about the people that you'll miss."
Caroline said: "It's fabulous at night-time, because there's no light pollution. The lights are fabulous and bright, it's completely gorgeous."
A pedestrian, who was knocked down and killed by a train near Felixstowe in February, appeared to wave at the driver just before the accident, according to a report out today, external.

The Rail Accident Investigation Branch, external (RAIB) has made two recommendations to Network Rail, external.
One relates to the importance of understanding and managing the effects of skewed alignment on the use of level crossings.
The second relates to reducing the risk to vulnerable level crossing users in what they call "an expedient manner", as it upgrades "passive crossings, external".
RAIB's chief inspector of rail accidents, Simon French, said: "The proportion of elderly people in the population is increasing and this is predicted to continue.
"It is therefore essential that this demographic change is allowed for in the risk management of level crossings over the years to come."

The chairman of Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue, external (Sulsar), which has been heavily involved in the search for missing airman Corrie Mckeague, says they're running out of places to look for him.
Andy King said: "We really have kind of almost exhausted any sort of logical place that we can search.
"We’ve done several of the areas several times with different resources."
The search for the gunner from RAF Honington, who hasn't been seen since the early hours of Saturday, 24 September, is the largest and longest search in Sulsar's history.
