  16. Now we know how that Christmas Card was deliveredpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2016

You may remember we asked yesterday how Royal Mail managed to deliver a Christmas card addressed only to "Tony and Sarah Wren - Somewhere near the sea in Suffolk".

We contacted Royal Mail who say they're pleased that they were able to deliver the card, and say it's a testament to the dedication of their staff.

"When Royal Mail gets mail into our network with an incomplete address, we send it to the local mail centre to be processed if there is enough information to do so.

"Lowestoft is the only delivery office in Suffolk served by Norwich mail centre, so when this letter came into Norwich Mail Centre the staff knew which office to send it on to.

"When mail comes into a delivery office with a partial address, all of our postmen and women look to see if they can recognise the name or description of the address to work out if it is for a customer on their delivery walk.

"More than half of the postmen and women at Lowestoft delivery office have worked there for more than twenty years and know who most of their customers are."
