    Ipswich Witches, external first loss of the season wasn't enough to prevent them reaching round two of the Championship Knockout Cup.

    The Suffolk side went down 49-41 at Berwick Bandits on Saturday night, but won 101-79 on aggregate following the 60-30 victory in the home leg.

    Nico Covatti (pictured) was the Witches star man with 11 points.

    Welcome to our live coverage on this rather dull and grey morning.

    We've woken up to the exciting news that more than a £1m is coming to the county to regenerate Lowestoft Ness, Britain's most easterly point, by creating a brand new visitor destination.

    We'll get reaction to that, and also to a further £750,000, which will be invested in a scheme to enhance Ipswich Town Centre and Waterfront Gateway, including St Peter's Dock.

    There should be good news about the weather too, I think there's some warm sunshine on the way, but I'll leave it to Georgina Burnett to give us the details - she'll be here next.
