On Friday the men were convicted for their roles in the attack outside a Southend pub.

The prosecution at Basildon Crown Court described the attack on the 44-year-old as a "carefully prepared ambush".

Nine men were convicted of violent disorder, three were found guilty of conspiracy to commit violent disorder and a 13th man was found guilty of assisting an offender.

They'll return to the court today for sentencing after spending the weekend in custody.
