    It's now three defeats in a row, in all competitions, for Ipswich Town, external after Saturday's 2-1 loss at Queens Park Rangers.

    Strikes from Jamie Mackie and Luke Freeman put the home side 2-0 ahead, before substitute Bersant Celina scored a superb goal for the Blues, but it was too little too late.

    "The first half it's just a scrap, they were the better of it and I think the goal before half time has knocked the stuffing out of us a bit," McCarthy told BBC Suffolk Sport.

    "I thought we started the second half alright, but the defending for the second goal was really poor, and 2-0 up here - they're a good side."
