1. Durham dig in at Arundelpublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Sussex 552 v Durham 158-3

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle

Will Smith has been providing some stubborn resistance with the bat from a Durham point of view. He has 68 and has put on 56 with Paul Collingwood for the fourth wicket so far, in a steady 18 overs.

Earlier Sussex made 552, their highest score in Arundel, but on a track made for runs Durham were 100-3 at tea with Tom Latham gone for two and Cameron Steel (20) and Graham Clark (27) also out.

This wicket requires concentration and determination but there are certainly runs to be had in the sunshine of Arundel Castle.

Sussex Coach Jason Gillespsie is on air with us now and says the first task is to bowl Durham out and have them follow-on. The target to avoid the follow-on is 403.
