BBC Sport speaks to Newcastle fans and journalists to find out what the club's new owners plan to do in the January transfer window, and which players manager Eddie Howe needs.
Staff at Teesside Hospice are appealing for help to raise £250,000 to plug a shortfall in funding.
Spokeswoman for the charity, Debbie Coulson, said the coronavirus pandemic had made fundraising difficult.
She said that last year the charity, in Northgate Road, Middlesbrough, raised more than £28,000 by collecting and recycling 2,000 Christmas trees and urged people to donate again this year.
Ms Coulson said: "Every single penny, not just pound that people donate is put to good use and directly supports people here on Teesside.
"I feel very privileged to see what a difference that money makes to lives.
"We've been here for the last 40 years because we've had the support of the local community."
