    About 500 mourners have attended the funeral of Leonne Weeks this afternoon.

    Leonne was found with stab injuries in Dinnington, near Rotherham, on 16 January.

    Her friends have told me: "We're all still in shock."

    Sheep in North Yorkshire are being quietly stolen one or two at a time by rustlers, according to the police.

    After a tip-off last Saturday officers found a flock of about 65 sheep and goats in the Hambleton area and police believe they would have been destined for the "illegal meat trade".

    They'd been left in a field and the landowner had no idea whose they were, and North Yorkshire Police say they think they were stolen.

    A 54-year-old man from Middlesbrough was arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft and possession of cannabis. 

    He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

    Steel maker Tata has signed an agreement to sell its Speciality Steels business, which has several sites in South Yorkshire, for £100m.

    The factories make products for the aerospace, automotive and oil and gas industries and Tata has sold the business to the Liberty House Group.

    Her body was discovered on a pathway off Lordens Hill in Dinnington, near Rotherham, in January. 

    She'd died of multiple stab wounds.

    Shea Peter Heeley, 18, of Doe Quarry Lane, Dinnington, has been charged with her murder, and is due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 17 February.

    People living in Dinnington near Rotherham, have accepted the death of teenager Leonne Weeks, but are "still grieving", according to the vicar who will lead her funeral service shortly.

    Leonne, 16, was found near Lordens Hill on 16 January. She'd died of multiple stab wounds.

    The Reverend Hilary Jowett (pictured), vicar of St Leonard's Church, says following Leonne's death, local residents were "horrified and shocked, then there was fear".

    "But, I think we've now accepted this has happened, horrible and awful though it is, and we are grieving for a teenager who should be living her life," she says.

    Shea Peter Heeley, 18, of Doe Quarry Lane, Dinnington, has been charged with Leonne's murder and is due to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on 17 February.

    This is St Leonard's Church in Dinnington, Rotherham, where the funeral of 16-year-old Leonne Weeks is due to take place shortly.

    Leonne was found near Lordens Hill on 16 January. She'd died of multiple stab wounds.

    The Reverend Hilary Jowett will lead the service which will start at about 13:30, following a procession through the town.

    The Reverend Jowett says the procession is "a real demonstration of the feeling in the community and their grief."

    A woman in her 40s has been taken to hospital, after falling down a 15ft hole in Sheffield city centre.

    She was found shortly after midnight this morning, in the hole on Bakers Hill, near Ponds Forge leisure centre.

    It's thought she slipped on some steps through a cordon.

    Firefighters rescued her, and she was taken to hospital with an injured leg.

  20. Cannabis haul after armed raid in Leedspublished at 12:53 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2017

    A cannabis growing factory has been discovered at a flat in Beeston in Leeds after a raid by armed police.

    It happened at two properties on Tempest Road and Stratford Street, officers found about 50 plants growing but no guns were found during the raid. 

    Two men, aged 32 and 36, were arrested and are currently in custody. 

    Police are still at both addresses while searches continue and the cannabis growing set-up is removed.
