He says the Republic's National Emergency Coordination Group will meet three times on Monday.

11:14 BST 16 October 2017Storm Ophelia has forced former US president Bill Clinton to postpone a planned intervention in Northern Ireland's political stalemate. Mr Clinton had been due to meet the parties as they struggle to reach a deal to restore the collapsed executive.
But the visit was called off at late notice due to the severe weather warnings. It is understood it may still take place on Tuesday.

11:14 BST 16 October 2017Northern Ireland Electricity says it has initiated an "escalation plan" and will have emergency crews, engineers and call handlers on stand-by ahead of the heavy winds expected later.
It says there is a possibility of damage to the electricity network, especially in exposed or coastal locations.
Hurricane Ophelia has already left thousands without power in the Republic of Ireland.
