    John McDonnell

John McDonnell says the main issue at the heart of the revelations is "far bigger than any individual".

"The fundamental issue is the corruption of democracy itself," he declares.

Those who are levying taxes on people should be accountable and those who "benefit from public services should pay a proportionate contribution to them", the shadow chancellor argues.

  10. Leave campaigners to demand EU negotiating rolepublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 13 April 2016

    The Daily Politics

BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg says she understands Leave campaigners will be coming out in the next week to say that, in the event of a vote to exit the EU, prominent figures from their side of the argument should be involved in the negotiations over the terms of exit and "have a seat at the table". Asked about this Owen Paterson says David Cameron may remain as PM in these circumstances but the team negotiating the terms of exit must include people "absolutely committed" to ensuring the UK's future "independence as a country".

    The Daily Politics

BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg says there is a consensus behind the scenes that progress has been made on tax compliance in recent years but that the PM remains vulnerable on the issue and Labour feel they are on strong territory. She reflects on what she says was a relatively rare attempt at humour by Jeremy Corbyn - about the amount of tax the PM is paying - which went down well with his MPs.

    The Daily Politics

The BBC's Andrew Neil points out that PMQs seems to be getting longer and longer, with the session running over until nearly 12:38 BST this time. Reflecting on the leaders exchanges on tax - the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg says we learn't little new but it showed the "depth of feeling" on both sides over the issue and how "pervasive" the issue is likely to continue to be.

The questions are coming thick and fast, with David Cameron being asked about organ donation, doping in sport and a charity walk being undertaken by Home Office minister Lord Bates. Then Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg rises to ask him about the 200,000 economic migrants who have come to the UK from the EU in recent years and the Remain camp's claim the UK has control of its borders. The PM answers by focusing on non-EU economic migrants who come to the EU, saying they do not have the right to move to the UK - he accuses his fellow Tory MP of peddling a "classic scare story" insisting the UK has control over its borders.

Mr Cameron says it is up to the National Crime Agency and other agencies to authorise investigations, saying he does not want to "cross the Rubicon" by telling them what to do.
