    Reality Check

Michael Gove saying the EU has the lowest growth of any continent in the world aside from Antarctica.

Michael Gove said that the EU had the lowest growth of any continent aside from Antarctica.

Much of the rest of the world has been catching up from a much lower starting point, so it's not that surprising that developing countries have grown more quickly.

  3. Gove sets out trade argument for leaving EUpublished at 19:02 British Summer Time 15 June 2016

Britain is the world's fifth largest economy, Michael Gove tells the audience, as he sets out what he sees as the trade advantages of leaving the EU. He argues that Germany wouldn't want to put up trade barriers on the UK because of the damage it would do to the German car industry.

He says the EU doesn't put Britain's interests first when negotiating trade, but EU "ideology".

  5. What are the risks of leaving the EU?published at 18:59 British Summer Time 15 June 2016

The justice secretary says there could be "risks and dangers" ahead in the global economy -and on security - but argues that the UK would be in a "stronger position" to deal with such risks outside the EU.

He acknowledges there would be "bumps in the road" from a Brexit. Pressed for more detail, he goes back to his initial point, that whatever happens in future the UK would be better placed to deal with future crises outside the EU.

  6. Immigration 'putting UK public services under strain' - Govepublished at 18:58 British Summer Time 15 June 2016

Continuing on the NHS, Michael Gove says the NHS would be stronger outside the EU because "we can invest additional cash in it".

He says all public services in the UK are "under strain" from "unlimited free movement" from the EU. By leaving, "we can take back control," he adds.

    Reality Check

Michael Gove has been talking about being able to spend an extra £100m a week on the NHS.

You can read more about it here.

  9. Gove: Brexit would boost NHS by £100m a yearpublished at 18:55 British Summer Time 15 June 2016

    Michael Gove

Challenged by an audience member over the NHS, Leave campaigner Michael Gove says: "I support our NHS. It's been good to me and my family."

He says a Brexit would free up £100m extra a year for the NHS. That would give it the "cash injection it needs", he adds.

He's challenged over a book he co-authored which contained a suggestion there should be an NHS insurance model. Mr Gove says he didn't write anything about the NHS in the book and again reaffirms his support for the health service.

  10. Gove: Remain is talking UK downpublished at 18:52 British Summer Time 15 June 2016

Michael Gove accuses the Remain campaign of "talking this country down" - prompting the first round of applause of the evening.

But an audience member challenges his claim the UK would be better off outside the EU when the majority of economists say the opposite. That too, is met with some applause

Resopnding, Mr Gove says economists were wrong in their support for the UK joining the euro, and adds:

    Quote Message

They were wrong then, and they're wrong now."

  11. Question on the emergency budgetpublished at 18:50 British Summer Time 15 June 2016

  12. Leaving EU is a 'win-win' - Michael Govepublished at 18:50 British Summer Time 15 June 2016

As David Dimbleby explains, the Question Time audience is divided between those wanting to Leave the EU, and those wanting to Remain, as well as undecideds.

Time for the first question: if the UK votes to leave the EU, would Mr Gove support George Osborne's "punishment" Budget?

"No," he says. "Because I think what we've heard from the Reamin campaign throughout the whole referendum, is dire warnings of the terrible consequences of the British people just taking control of our own destiny."

The UK would be in an "economically stronger position" outside the EU, he adds, arguing that the UK would be able to negotiate trade deals with countries throughout the world.

Leaving is a "win, win", he adds.

"Smart guy, stupid move" - one of the kindest descriptions by Leave MPs of George Osborne's Brexit Budget move.

This campaign has already been marked by bitter disputes and astonishingly personal attacks.

But the fact that dozens of Conservative MPs have been willing to sign up to criticise the chancellor so very publicly today illustrates that some bonds have been broken beyond repair - and that the conduct of the referendum has damaged George Osborne's reputation among his colleagues.

  16. Theresa May wants 'further EU free movement reform'published at 18:10 British Summer Time 15 June 2016

    Theresa May

Home Secretary Theresa May has said the government should "should look at further reform" of free movement of people, if the UK stays in the EU.

Speaking exclusively to the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg, she said she understood concerns over immigration but leaving the EU was not a "silver bullet".

Mrs May, who backs Remain, denied she had "been quiet" during the campaign.

She listed the economy and jobs, security, and Britain's "place in the world" as reasons to stay in the EU.
