    Warren Morgan, Labour leader of Brighton and Hove City Council, has written to Labour's general secretary to say he is "very concerned at the anti-Semitism being aired publicly in fringe meetings and on the floor of conference".

    The letter, shared on Facebook,, external indicates that the council might not welcome future Labour conferences if action is not taken.

    "As the Labour leader of Brighton and Hove City Council I will undoubtedly face questions as to why we allow any event where anti-Semitic views are freely expressed to happen in the city, particularly on council premises.

    "As a Labour Party member I expect the enquiry announced today to take firm action; as Leader I will need reassurances that there will be no repeat of the behaviour and actions we have seen this week before any further bookings from the party are taken."

    George Eaton tells the Daily Politics that Saturday's rally with Jeremy Corbyn made him feel "like I was back at the Reading Festival again".

    "The zeitgeist has shifted and people are looking for a radical alternative," says shadow minister Chris Williamson.

    BBC assistant political editor Norman Smith asks him whether Labour should "tailor its message to middle England".

    "People are sick to death of that," Mr Williamson says. Voters "see Labour as offering a traditional, socialist alternative".

    He adds: "We shouldn't have a situation where people are sleeping on the streets and people struggling to make ends meet."

    And the MP predicts the party could have a million members in the future.

    The leader of Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party said it would seek to use its influence over the government in the Bombardier dispute.

    Theresa May's Conservatives, who lost their overall majority in Parliament in the general election, rely on the DUP to secure majorities in key votes.

    "Everyone realises how important Bombardier is to Northern Ireland and we will use our influence with our government to make sure that continues," the DUP's Arlene Foster told Sky News.

    "What we must do now is to continue to work with our own government, with the American government, with the Canadian government, in trying to get Boeing to see sense."
