    Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg says she is looking forward to working "closely" with new prime minister Boris Johnson.

    Ms Solberg has previously said she may support the UK following the example of Norway in joining the European Free Trade Association after Brexit if it wished.

    Norway is not a member of the EU but has full access to the single market, and very limited barriers to trade with the EU.

    Some of Boris Johnson's new cabinet have been giving their reactions to his first meeting at Downing Street.

    Attorney General Geoffrey Cox told reporters as he left No 10 that they had "an excellent Cabinet meeting" which was "positive".

    Transport Secretary Grant Shapps described it as "very good, energised", while Leader of the House Jacob Rees-Mogg said the meeting was "very interesting".

    DUP deputy leader Nigel Dodds says the confidence and supply agreement between his party and the Conservatives needs to be "refreshed and renewed" after Boris Johnson became prime minister.

    The DUP has propped up a minority Conservative government since the 2017 general election, when it agreed the deal with Mr Johnson's predecessor Theresa May.

    Mr Dodds tells the BBC: “It is effectively a new government so a lot of the things we agreed two years ago have run their course so we want to see what the plans are going forward.”
