That's all for today's Queen's Baton Relay Live. The crowds have been absolutely amazing today, and just seemed to get bigger and bigger as the day went on.

Thanks for all your tweets flagged with #bbcbatonrelay, external. We'll be back tomorrow morning from 07:30 BST as North Lanarkshire hosts day 10 of the baton relay's 40-day tour of Scotland.

The relay starts off in Stepps and stops include Cumbernauld, Airdrie, Motherwell and Coatbridge before the day ends in Strathclyde Country Park.

TV presenter Carol Smillie will be among the baton bearers.

The 105 baton bearers who appeared in South Lanarkshire today have all made a guard of honour to end today's relay.

It's the end of the road for the relay today at Hamilton Mausoleum. The final baton bearer is Kenneth McKay.

Confetti cannon are being fired as he strides towards the mausoleum, which is causing a certain amount of excitement with the cheering crowd.

We have just had word that TV presenter Carol Smillie will be one of the baton bearers in North Lanarkshire tomorrow. You will be able to see Carol and all of the others taking part on our video stream from 07:30 BST.

Evelyn has raised £25,000 for St Andrew's Hospice since her husband's death in 2005. She has trekked the Great Wall of China and the Canadian Rockies, and climbed both Ben Nevis and Kilimanjaro.

The baton has just visited some residents at the Newbury Rooney Centre, including Annie Neithercut looking great in a See You Jimmy hat.

The baton has seamlessly made the transition from Bothwell to Hamilton, as the relay moves past Hamilton racecourse.

There are only another 10 baton bearers to go today.

We used the "final furlong" gag a few days ago. Let's hope nobody noticed.

One of the most popular baton bearers we have seen in today's relay in South Lanarkshire is Scott Laidlaw, who was cheered through the streets of Bothwell.

Team Scotland bowler Margaret Letham, who now has the baton, will be hoping history repeats itself in Glasgow. The reigning women's fours World Champion already has a gold medal from the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur.

The relay has just got under way in Bothwell. Girl guide leader Kirsty Buchan is first with the baton.

The police escort have just given Uddingston's final baton bearer Stephen Spiers a Mexican wave.

The relay will resume in Bothwell at around 17:15 BST.

Ross is Head of Youth at Uddingston Hockey Club and does a tremendous amount of voluntary work organising, coaching and promoting hockey. Those he works with describe him as an inspiration.
