    We're really close to some of the Commonwealth Games venues now that the relay has arrived in Rutherglen.

    Celtic Park, where the Games open on 23 July, is less than two miles away.

    The athletics venue Hampden Park is even closer. It's only a mile and a half down the road.

    Angus formed East Kilbride Sports Council 41 years ago and was an executive member of the Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils for 30 years. He was the first life member of the Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils and still sits on the Scottish Youth Football Association Appeals and Volunteer Committees.
