That's all for today's Queen's Baton Relay Live. The baton bearers received terrific support from the people of North Lanarkshire, especially Rab Bannan.

Stuart Sanderson emailed to say: "Wee Rab looked as proud as I have ever seen him. Well done Rab, you are a credit to Coatbridge."

Police escort Tom McKean had some fun carrying the baton through Strathclyde Country Park. The former middle-distance runner left his colleagues struggling to keep up as he jogged along.

I was fortunate enough to see the baton this morning in Stepps, and my picture of the day has to be this young chap taking up a police motorcyclist's offer to sit on his bike.
