    The convoy is making its way to Cumbernauld, where four people will carry the baton.

    The town was created in 1956 and is the largest in North Lanarkshire.

    Cumbernauld also features heavily in the classic 1980s' coming-of-age film Gregory's Girl.

    The baton relay will continue along Cumbernauld Road and then pass Chryston High School on Lindsaybeg Road. It will then stop at Chilterns care home.

    People in Stepps are waving Queen's Baton Relay flags as PE teacher and Guide leader Ailsa Davidson runs with the baton.

    Paul Holmes has taken the baton.

    Despite having a serious illness, chronic Q Fever, Paul founded Antonine Athletic Youth FC, which uses football to divert youngsters from offending or anti-social or harmful behaviour.

    He also set up Kelvin Valley Honey which provides employment for house-bound people.

    Treatment for Paul's condition included a dual-heart valve replacement, life-long treatment on aggressive drugs and has led to the loss of 65% of his muscle mass.
