    Airdrie baton bearer Paul Frew is a volunteer for Hope for Autism in North Lanarkshire.

    He is on the autistic spectrum himself and aims to be a positive role model to the children he teaches to swim and takes to the gym. He has also volunteered in Bolivia.

    Graham MacDonald has taken the baton in Airdrie.

    Graham, 73, has spent 10 years volunteering in sports. He helps the Scottish badminton team and volunteered at the Special Olympics in Glasgow in 2005 and the International Children's Games in Lanarkshire in 2011.

    Ron Rodger was Scottish Junior Men's gymnastics champion in 1955 and at the age of 83 still coaches gymnasts.

    Over the years he's also managed Greenfaulds Sports Centre and the Tryst Sports Centre.

    Michael Cavanagh is carrying the baton in Cumbernauld. The former wrestler, who competed for Scotland and Great Britain, is now the chairman of Commonwealth Games Scotland and a member of the Glasgow 2014 board.

    He tweeted, external earlier: "Looking forward to carrying the Baton tomorrow in Cumbernauld and catching up with Ron Rodger, who took me to the 1970 Opening Ceremony!"

    The 1970 Commonwealth Games was held in Edinburgh, with the opening ceremony taking place at Meadowbank Stadium.
